As the scorching heat of summer has had its firm grip on us, I’ve been longing for a day of respite from the oppressive temperatures. Today, the stars aligned, and I was blessed with a refreshing and enjoyable day in the low 80’s.
The morning began with a desire to add some color and vibrancy to my day, quite literally. As I sat on my patio, surrounded by the gentle breeze, I picked out some nail polish shades and set to work. There’s something incredibly therapeutic about painting one’s nails. For me it’s a good way to practice some self-care and ‘me time’.
With each stroke of the brush, I saw the transformation of my nails from plain to vibrant, the shimmery orange and black flakie polish giving me all the Fall vibes.
After my nails dried, hubby and I went on a quick trip to the pharmacy to pick up my medications. Though running errands might not be the most exciting part of the day, it was essential because I was out of one of the meds we had to pick up.
After the pharmacy, I couldn’t resist the lure of an ice tea from Sonic before heading over to Hobby Lobby to pick up a few beads they had on sale.
My day, filled with small pleasures and self-care, left me feeling content and grateful. From painting my nails to a few pretty beads, it was the perfect balance of relaxation and rejuvenation. Amidst the oppressive summer heat that we’ve been experiencing lately, this cool and enjoyable day was like a breath of fresh air.
